Severity levels, health status alerts
You can determine how serious an alert is based on its severity level. There are five system status levels displayed by the Systems window, the Dashboard window, and the notification area icon. The status alerts differ between individual storage systems and high availability pairs.
Status alert levels for individual storage systems
Alert levels for individual systems are defined in the following list, in order of increasing severity:
Normal
The storage system is up and running with no problems.
Warning
There are minor issues, but none that require immediate attention.
Error
Problems that might eventually result in downtime require attention.
Critical
The storage system is not serving data or cannot be contacted. Immediate attention is required.
Disabled or Unavailable
Monitoring is disabled or is unavailable because of some other problem.
Status alert levels for high availability pairs
Alert levels for high availability pairs are defined in the following list, in order of increasing severity:
Normal
All nodes are up and running with no problems.
Warning
There is a configuration mismatch on the high availability pair.
Critical
The system has been taken over by its partner.
